Shure E3 problems

Ok....ive scanned through these boards and havent really found a topic related to my problem

I have a 4g 40gb iPod and I LOVE IT!!!

I went out and got the Apple in ears and the darn things never fit correctly in my ears providing optimal sound, so after finding and reading your boards i decided to go with some Shure E3's, and have been happy, but there is a kicker.

I use the Foam sleeves, and the one problem i have is the behind the ear style. I dont know if its the weight of the cord, but if i make sudden head movements or in general the cord is always getting stuck on some article of clothign thereby kind restricting movement until i move the cord around. This is very frustrating since ive never had this problem with traditional earphones. Didnt know if i was the only one with this problem so thought i would post and see if others had this problem.

Thanks in advance

You've got the cables running up your back and over your ears, right?

yeah..the cable lie on my back......with the cord behind my ear...ive tried making the little sleeve tight against my head...and then loosened it too......darn wire always gets caught on some article of clothing....funny thing today.....i turned quick...and the cord caught on my collar to my dress shirt and actually pulled the earphone outta my ear.

Try wearing them down the front of your body instead of behind your back. I think that's what most people do with Shures... the behind the back is really just for performing on stage. Still put them over your ears like you usually do, but let the cord hang in front of your body like regular headphone. At least you'll see anything that's going to catch on it. I've never had a problem with it catching this way.
