Shure E2c Questions

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I have recently purchased the Shure E2c's and have a few questions.
1) The ' disposable' foam sleeves: How long should i use these for before throwing them out?
2) Where (in the uk) can you buy the foam sleeves at a resonable price?

Thanks in advance

1) throw them out? are you kidding? most shure e2 users would wash them with soup and water if they get dirty, unless they dont work anymore normally.
2) http://www.pjbox.co.uk/Shure-Accessories.htm, quite expensive.

justgotmyipod, what kind of soup are they using? Chicken noodle? Split pea w/ ham? I think that would kind of smell.

In all seriousness, you do need to throw them out after a few months, even with washing. They're going to lose elasticity when you wash them. The best thing to do is to learn to use the flex sleeves.

Oh, and in the future earphone questions should be in the earphones forum.

Do you really wash yours? I never really considered that. They seem to last quite a while, but I have thrown out one pair so far.

Thanks for the help, another question: Do the foamies stop expanding after a certain period. Is there any maximum time that they should be worn or is it down to common sense
Thanks again
