Sony EX71s seem to distort at high volume

Hi! I just got the Sony EX71's and like them, except on thing. My headphones really start to distort at 60 volume. I like listening to my music at high volume, are my earbuds defective? Thanks!

that's weird? mine don't distort...check your EQ and make sure you aren't using something weird. you probably don't need to use any EQ with the new earphones. if you're still getting distortion, there's probably something wrong with yout pair.

No EQ works best with most canalphones; you can pick up the distortion. Not like the EX71's are lacking in bass or anything.Elithrar at 2007-11-15 15:26:24 >

You really need to learn not to listen to your headphones at high volumes. Yes, it sounds great... but you'll pay for it late it life with hearing loss and tinnitus. It's very, very dangerous. One of the major benefits of canalphones is that you can listen at lower volumes due to the isolation. You should learn to do it.kauffee at 2007-11-15 15:27:32 >
