I have a 3rd Gen 20gb iPod with a docking thingy and im wondering if its possible to plug in a pair of 30watt bose speakers into the line out port on the dock, and have it actually work.

OR, will i need some kind of specialised iPod amp for the speakers to work which is no doubt prohibitively expensive.
