Song Length appears Too Long

I am in the process of cleaning all my Mp3 tags on my iPod. How come a song I know is only 3:00 mins long appears on the iPod as a 17:00 min song? I think it has something to do with my Mp3 tags, but how do I fix it?

If you have the cd then you can import the song again, but before you do, first play the song and you can fast forward to the end of the song in the iTunes window by clicking on the bar and just let the end of the song play and note the stop time, then:1- put the cd on
2-right click on that song
3-go to options tab
4-go down to stop time
5-change the stop time in that box to the correct time of the song before you click import.
This will change the time showing in iTunes. I had a song that was 22:33 and this is how I changed the time showing in iTunes, it does work.
If you don't have the cd; you can change the time and the song will play for the 3 mins but iTunes will still show the song as 17 mins.
