Removing Duplicates

Is there any software to remove duplicates from:
A) The iTunes Library
B) The iPod Library
I know there are some AppleScripts for the Mac to do this, but has anyone developed anything like this for Windows? Preferably free :p

Hi, I have made a program for iTunes Windows to do this, it takes a while but it gets the job done. If you are interested, PM me or email me, and I'll email it back.

Has there ever been any progress with this app?

At some point a while back, I found version 1.0 here on the forums. I keep it on my desktop and use it all the time. It's so simple and so useful.

I've been watching for a new release for a long time. Any hope of an updated version with new features?

there has got to be a program or something that removes duplicate songs in itunes. In show duplicates I have 50GB of duplicate songs that I need removed and I don't think the manual way is the best way to go. (highlighting the duplicate then using the ctrl and click of the mouse you scroll and choose all the duplicates that way) with this way it is easy yet tedious but a a mistake can happen and your highlights are removed and you have to select them all again.

there aer a bunch try mymusictools.com or something lik ethat.

they are all shareware and work with mixed result. i have never forund a one-button solution.

Thanks. I downloaded your software to try out later.

I'm desperate to get the iTunes library back to normal, but for some strange reason, I think the actual files are not duplicated. I guess these are the dead files you're referring to.
