I cant get songs to computer frm ipod how do you do this

You can use EphPod to do this. Just select the songs you want to copy from the iPod to the computer. Then right click and choose Copy or Download to computer (cannot remember the exact name, but it is pretty clear).You can configure how the files are copied in the configuration of EphPod. I changed mine to save it to folders by artist then folders by album.
It's pretty simple.
