Cant download purchased songs to iPod
Hello-
I bought some music via iTunes, and I can't drag and drop them to my iPod. I can play them, but when I try to drag them to my iPod, it's just a "no" symbol.
This is irritating. Isn't that the primary goal of iTunes? To buy music to play on their brother product, iPod?
Thanks.

What are you using to download with? If you're using Itunes, do a manual synch (or auto synch, if all your tunes are on your HD), and forget the drag and drop.
I had a similar problem after updating to 4.5 and the 2.2 firmware. I did the update instead of restore on the 2.2 update. I went back and did a full restore, and the problem went away.

Are you placing the songs directly over the 'iPod' in the source list or over a song playlist? This makes a big difference. The drag-n-drop method will not allow you to drop songs over anything but the iPod itself. Make sure the iPod is highlighted with the 'shadow' when you drg-n-drop.

It never even gets as far as the shadow, because it turns into a "no" sign. This is very annoying.
Is there a way to backup my iPod, reset it, and restore my data?
Thanks.

Make sure the computer you're using is authorized. I had the exact same thing happen to me on an authorized machine that somehow became unauthorized after I had purchased music. I ended up calling tech support because I was completely stumped.

Thanks.
I deauthorized my computer, and reauthorized it, and now I can drag and drop purchased music to my iPod. :)
