OGG Vorbis support in iTunes

Does iTunes support OGG Vorbis? iTunes help dosen't clearly state what formats it supports.

I noticed something odd about iTunes aswell. If you open the iTunes package contents (Find the iTunes application, ctrl-click it and select Show package contents), you will find icon files in there. One of the icons is an OGG icon (The iTunes logo, with OGG underneath it). Does this mean iTunes supports OGG vorbis, or will it support OGG vorbis in the future?

Also, there is an iTunes Movie icon. To my knowladge, iTunes dosen't support Movies (The music videos and film trailers in the Music Store are Quicktime movies), does this also mean that iTunes may support things like music videos and such directly intergrated into iTunes, so that maybe they play automatically when you listen to songs which support it.

Finaly, the icons are found in the Resources folder, in the Contents folder, in the iTunes package.

Hope this makes sense.
Thanks, Jalex

No, neither iTunes nor the iPod will play OGG Vorbis files.

I wouldn't look at the icons as an indication of impending features. The WMA, OGG, and Movies icons have been in the resources for SEVERAL major versions.

However, there are some who say that this will enable iTunes (via QuickTime) to decode OGG files. They won't transfer to the iPod, however.

From our "Known iTunes for Windows Plug-ins" Thread
OGG Vorbis Playback

A QuickTime plug-in that seems to magically allow iTunes to play OGG Vorbis files.
