Artist in Song Name column?

Hi,

I'm using iTunes for Windows (latest version) and I noticed the artist shows up in the 'Song Name' column as well as in the 'Artist' column.. So it shows like 'Artist - Track' in the 'Song Name' column. Hope that was clear..

Now if I double click that song, only the track name stays and the artist name dissapears.. *ooouhhhh!!* So what if I wanted all my collection to do that? There's gotta be a faster way then clicking 'Next' twelve-thousand times...!

That's due to a data entry error in the reference database that iTMS uses. The database was built from user submissions, so it can vary widely in quality. For example, the person who supplied info for Bruce Springstein's Live 3-CD set did it three different ways.

To fix it on a Windows PC, select the song(s), right click, select Song Info, then make your changes.

It is always worth scanning the tags after the CDDB info has been added. It takes about 60 seconds to cut and paste things into their correct places. If you do it first time around you won't have to face doing it "twelve thousand times" all in one go!

Well isn't there a quick way to scan the whole database like that? Right-clicking the song and clicking 'Get Info' then 'OK' also fixes it, but it's longer than clicking the 'Next' button twelve-thousand times..
