HD crashed. Lost playlist on MAC but remains on ipod. Questions. Help-

Recently my boot hard drive crashed on my dual g4 powermac. Luckily, all my mp3 data was stored on an external firewire drive, but the itunes xml library was not. I have about 70gb of music and a 4gb ipod mini which holds all of my choice tracks. On the mini, i had it set to automatically sync the songs with rating 4+ and playcount 5+. I have all the mp3 data on my firewire drive so i rebuilt the itunes xml library on my reliable powerbook.

My problem is that i lost all of the rating and playcounts of my songs. I would like to transfer all the ratings and all the playcounts from the 650 songs on my ipod mini back to the library on my powerbook. Anyone out there know how to do this? It is not a matter of preserving any songs, so the usual ipod->itunes program wont solve my problems. Any help would be great.
