Way to Eliminate pauses.
I was just listening to Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon. And i was wondering if there is a way to make iTunes not have a slight pause between songs, it disrupts the flow of the album for me. Thanks Much.

What I did to remove the silence between tracks:
METHOD ONE:
1-I play the song in iTunes and fast forward it to near the end, but let the end of the song play, and listen for the music to stop and watch for the time it stops.
2-Then I right click on the song and then click on the 'options' tab, go down to 'stop' time and change it. (Example: Say the song is 4:33 and the music stops playing on 4:32. What I do is change it to 4:32. The time will show in the stop area like this 4:33.212. Just change the seconds so the time shows 4:32.212.)
3-Do this for each song.
METHOD TWO:
If you have the CD put it on and re-import them and use the 'join tracks' feature in the 'advance' area in iTunes.
Use method one if you do not want to re-import the songs.
Either method will work. I have used both. I made a Jams playlist and used the first method so I could have a non-stop music playlist with gapless playback. This works well for different songs from different artist in a playlist. This way you can arrange them anyway you want.

Using the above method, you can eliminate silent sections that exist in the original source material, but a small gap will still remain that is not in the music to begin with. Join CD Tracks does eliminate the gap, but then you lose the indexing and information for the individual tracks.

Yup, unfortunately the iPod does not have a gapless playback feature like the Rio Karma offers. Perhaps in the future Apple will address this, but I'm not holding my breath.

This is THE WORST theing about ipods, especially for those of us with HUNDREDS of LIVE CONCERTS on our ipods.
nothing like having your favorite band NAIL a transition, just to have your ipod skip a second!

I agree with mvickers. That is by far the most annoying thing about the iPod. Hey mvickers, what kinda music you listen to?
Trade?? ( http://db.etree.org/hokielouis)
