Hi,

I've had my iPod for about 6 or so months now. Just recently, I tried to connect the iPod to the computer via the AC adapters firewire cable. It is no longer recognized by the computer whenever I plug it in.... it only charges!!!

To troubleshoot, I took my friends cable, plugged it into mine and connected it to the computer. And amazingly enough, it works and is detected.

Does this make any sense? There are no loose ends on my cable and nothing has been done to it. Why would it stop being able to connect to my computer?
