Lots of swirls at the back of iPod

Lots of swirls at the back of iPod. I always hate this to the core, it spoils the perfection look of my iPod. I am always bothered by this scratches. I recently bought the iCleaner hoping to get rid those sickening swirls off my iPod metal back. But the more I rub, the more scratches it creates. Oh my! Oh my! I just keep on rubbing until I got really fed up off it. Anyone got any suggestion to get rid of them. It really pick up my nerves becos of thgose ugly swirls. The swirls will only appear if I tilt the ipod at an angle towards the light. Is this okay? But if I put the iPod face directly at my eyes, everything is okay. How come like that?

you need to make sure that you're following the directions of any cleaner you're using.
Most are going to tell you not to rub in circles (just like waxing a car), you'll create swirls that will be very difficult to remove.
If the marks on the back of your Ipod are really getting you down, you might just want to keep it in a case so you cant see that back... or leave it mounted in a car or in the dock...

I am also very meticulous about my things and can't stand scratches on anything. The back of my ipod is loaded with annoying scratches. I tried using Brasso but I did not see much improvement. I learned to live with them. If it works, I will be happy

Try the Mothers California Gold Mag and Aluminum polish found here ( http://www.mothers.com/products/productcatalog/wheelprod.html) it works great on mine....

What it could mean is that there's a few dust particles somewhere on the back and by rubbing in circles you've cought said dust and encouraged it to move over the back of your iPod. I was lucky enough to see this happen to a gent who didn't properly clean the hood of his car then waxed it.
