Install iTunes from the CD, but you might want to update your ipod installer from apple's website.

1) Charge your iPod for about 8 hours for first charge

2) Download latest iTunes from Apple site and install it

3) Download latest firmware 2.2 from Apple site and upgrade it into your iPod

4) Start transfering your songs to the iPod, and do what so ever settings you want to your iPod

5) You can start listening to your iPod now

HAPPY PODDING!!!

ok, thnx

I checked my ipod and it said it's fully charged (~3-4h)

I'll leave the plug in for the rest of the night just to make sure then

about the firmware: is that the new auto-updater on the apple site or is that something else ?

Yup its an autoupdater software you have to download and install it, before it can upgrade your iPod to 2.2.
