Ephpod/MacOpener Problems

I recently purchased a PC and through searching these forums, I found out how to hook up my Apple formated iPod to my new computer. I downloaded Ephpod and MacOpener and it worked perfectly. The problem came when I restarted my computer, I got a message saying that my iPod wasn't up to date and it needed to be reformated to windows. I ignored this a couple of times but while installing iTunes, it was suggested that I update my iPod so I hesitantly hit OK. Now, all messages are gone but my iPod is unrecognized by my PC and I am unable to play music from it or transfer files as an external drive.

I'm hoping there is a way to take a couple of steps back through uninstalling or reinstalling software/updates.

Please help.

Did I say something wrong or is this just a stupid question?

Isn't there anybody who can help me? :(
