Do all iPods ship from Shanghai?

I ask because when I ordered my replacement 15GB, the nice sales person seemed to think (but could not say with any certainty) that if I ordered via phone, my order would not take as long as my 20 GB did, which was an oline order. Today I ran the tracking number and, yep, it's shipping from China.

Has anyone gotten an iPod shipped from within the states?

The lady on the phone said mine would ship from somewhere near Toronto (I live in Toronto) but I guess she didn't realize I was going to get it engraved when I ordered online. It came from Shanghai.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, the salesperson I spoke to did ask if I wanted custom engraving when I asked about shipping time. I guess they are engraved overseas?

I ordered mine last Saturday, a 20G engraved model, and according to Fedex it shipped from shanghai and is already in town today, Tuesday. Town for me is somewhere in the midwest and the shipping seems to have been exceptionally quick. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work and have to wait until this afternoon to pick it up.
