ipod screen and pixel issues
Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Ok, today i turned on my ipod and i noticed that near the left side of the screen there was one column of pixels that wasnt showing up on my screen. Before that there had been no problems and i havent had it on since saturday night. It leaves a white line through everything that is supposed to be colored in. About 2 min later the line was gone so i thought nothing of it. But then about 5 min after that the line came back and has been there ever since.
I dont know what to do. I have tried reseting it by holding menu and pause/play but it did nothing. I have tried connecting it to my computer and downloading the newest version of software and that did nothing. I have also tried just leaving it off for a couple of hours and that did nothing as well. My friend has also had this problem. He had the samething happen to him only the line was a horizontal one. His ipod has had no screen issues since it happend yesterday.
My ipod is only 2 weeks old. I bought the extended warranty for 2 yrs from best buy, so i can return it if i need to. What should i do? Has this happend to anyone else?
The ipod has never been dropped, smushed/crushed, beaten or aboused. Just to throw out those possible causes.

yeah, the same thing happened to me. i requested from the website that it needed to be fixed. UPS came and picked it up a few days after and a new one sent to me within a week. if you have the extended warranty, you might be able to take it into a shop and get them to swap it there and then. i couldnt do that as i live in leeds (uk) and no shops are about!!!

If it is only 2 weeks old then you can still return it on the 30 Day warranty, don't lest Best Buy use your extended warranty (or you will have to buy a new one). Some times the clerk at the desk doesn't see the original purchase date and will charge you for a new warranty.
