Getting a mini from the US
Hi
Hopefully sumtime in June a friend is going to the US and ive asked him if he could try and pick me up a mini, fingers crossed eh! Well if i do get 1, and something did end up going wrong with it, would i have to send it back to the US to get a repair or would sending it to Apple UK be ok as it would be so much easier?
Thanks Edd

Hey, Eddd,
Yep. If your friend brings you a U.S. mini, and it has problems, you're stuck. Either you send it back to the U.S. for fixing OR you wait till July's international release. The policy seems to be that no Apple stores outside the U.S. will fix Minis till they're released internationally.
Once July arrives and with it the international release, you'll be in the clear. Then Apple's world-wide warrenty is in effect and no matter where you bought it, an Apple store will fix it.

As soon as Apple does the worldwide rollout, you should be able to get your mini serviced through Apple UK.

There is a thread somewhere here on one of the Mini forums which mentioned that UK support of the iPod Mini by Apple has already begun, so you shouldn't have any problem with getting your iPod Mini serviced (if it ever needs it).

Ok, just to clear things up, if I were able to get a mini from the US in June, if something did go wrong after the July worldwide distribution, would i then be able to send it to Apple UK or would they not accept it meaning i need to send it back to the US? Sorry for all the questions.
Thanks
Edd
