WANT: iPod Mini [can you find one]

As red devil said, probably the best place to try now would be eBay. The prices are around $300. Just make sure you bid on the PLAYER and not just information on the player or a player accessory. People are using the iPod mini as bait for a multitude of pyramid schemes (the giveaway will be 'free iPod' or 'free iPod mini' in the subject header).

As for in-store, most stores seem to be out of it at the moment. The Apple website shows a 6 week wait, for instance, and the Amazon site seems to be backlogged on shipments by at least a month. I heard that circuit city.com had it, but when I checked, the individual pages listed the players as out of stock. I'd keep checking around the net (eBay, Circuit City, Best Buy, CompUSA) and at your local electronics retail outlets to see if you can't get one.

Again though, you'd probably be better off going onto eBay if you REALLY want one in the near future.
