Im just wondering how to put your name on the ipod screen?

This is probably a newbie question, but how do you put your name at the top of the ipod mini screen? I'm going to look in the manual and see if it's there. Thanks!

Using windows? Rename the iPod in windows, and the top of the iPod's screen should change.

You can't.

You can change the name of the iPod icon that appears on the computer screen and in iTunes--name it whatever you like. But the name on the iPod's little screen is always going to be "iPod Mini"--untill and unless Apple changes the software.

You can, however, arrange to have the time displayed instead of the "ipod mini" name. Just go under Extras>clock>date&time and turn it to "on" where it says "Time in the title." When you first "turn on" the mini, it will say "ipod mini" but then it will switch to the time.

Use a Sharpie?

yep, with the clock displayed, i have no need for a wrist watch. no more tanline ... on my wrist anyway.
