Just Purchased the Sony EX 71s

I was a little worried about having these things in my ears, but they're not too bad. It feels a little weird. But I'm getting bass, so I know they are working properly.

However, what's with the cord? Is it just me, or is this normal? My right speaker cord is about two times longer than the left speaker cord. Can you adjust it? I've tried but it wouldn't budge and I was afraid I'd screw it up.

Tell you what, these are that great for people who have constant earwax backup :P

I can't figure out how to use that cord case. Any pointers? Yes I read the instructions :)

The cord is designed to be worn behind your neck, with the shorter lead apparently meant for breast pocket use of the iPod (I think). As for the case, toss it; it's a useless piece of crap. Instead, get a tin for Altoids gum. If you wrap the cord around 3 fingers, the whole thing fits in the tin nicely.

the shorter lead is for a remote, not for "breast pocket use." >.>
*points to the picture on the case*

The right bud extends from the left ear behind your neck. This way you only have one cord down from your head on the left side. It feels a bit strange for the first day or so, but you quickly get use to the idea. I even prefer it now.

Im not sure what packaging yours came in, but mine had a nice little demonstration on how you can use the case as a cord length shortener by wrapping the cord around the center of the opened case a few times and then closing it so the wires fit through the earphone holes.

Back when i used these phones on a player without a remote i did this all the time. takes a few extra inches off the cord and keeps the case out of your pocket (*cough* keeps me from loosing it.)
