iTunes Library Help Please!

I want to transfer my iTunes library to an external hard-drive. Whenever I enter the \My Documents\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library, in my current library (in windows explorer) it only shows a few albums, but when i actually enter iTunes, I have over 30gb of music. How will I get all the music into the library in windows explorer so i can transfer to another hard-drive?

well my Mum's just said she doesnt want another hard drive (she isn't too into computers) because she thinks it will ruin it! Will consolditaing work the same way for the same hard drive, and after i have done that can i delete the originals? thanks!

Yes, it works the same when you consolidate to the same drive.
