iTunes "Freezing" problem
I have a problem with iTunes. Everytime my iPod Classic 80GB is plugged it and I try to organize my music, iTunes freezes for around 5 seconds every minute or so.
It's very frustrating because I can't freaking organize my music and create playlists! I've had my iPod classic for around a month and it still continues!!!
How can I fix my problem?

It sounds like you are trying to organize large numbers of songs directly on your iPod.
A USB cable only has so much bandwidth, and you may be running up against it.
Have you tried organizing in iTunes on your hard drive, then sync the changes to your iPod? The hard drive does not have the limitations of USB for bandwidth.

Hmm
My iPod has almost 4000 songs on it.
I don't sync my iPod. When in iTunes nothing is happening, but as I start to scroll around and edit songs it keeps freezing every 20 - 30 seconds for about 5 seconds.
The thing is, my iPod video did not have this problem and I had a 30GB vs 80GB but that wouldn't be it because I still have 23 GB of music.

iTunes freezes everytime I do anything while my iPod is connected, I don't sync my music with iPod but adding videos takes a long time

160GB iPods have had a history of freezing iTunes.
There are a few anecdotal reports trickling in that the 7.5 iTunes update has fixed some peoples issue

Yeah I hope so! I have a very unorganized iPod that needs fixing lol.
When is 7.5 out?
PS - Does this usually happen with iPod when they come out? I got my iPod video about 8 months after it came out, so it was already ironed out. Guess I shouldn't jump on new tech as it comes out.

7.5 is available now for download.
Most iPods have some interesting bugs that need ironing out here and there. The Classic seems to have been plaqued with them more than some previous iPod releases.
