iTunes Crashes Using Vista

I've seen several other people in various other forums I've read have this same problem but no solution. Hope someone in here can help. I'm running Vista. Most of the time when itunes is open, it all of the sudden goes to this blue screen and says something about memory dump. It goes away pretty fast so I can't read all of it. Then it restarts my pc. Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem too. I read on the itunes sight that it is an issue with the nvidia graphics card. I've downloaded each update for the graphics card and it has not fixed the issue yet. I hope it gets fixed soon because the blue screen get really annoying. Also notice it crashes the most when you want to try and play a video.

I've been running "Vista Home Basic" for the last week without any issues. In fact, I've noticed better performance, better sound quality and more reliable recognition of the iPod when updating.

What are your system specs? I.E. - Are you using the 32bit version of Vista or the 64bit version? How much RAM do you have installed? Are you taking advantage of the on board audio hardware or do you have an upgraded sound card? Are you running the Aero UI and if so, do you have a video card that can handle it? Is your system new or upgraded? If your system is new have you taken the time to uninstall all of the crap software that HP, Dell, Gateway, Compaq, etc love to install? If your system is upgraded you may need to F Disk the drive and reinstall a fresh copy of Vista to avoid hardware/driver/software conflicts.

Good luck. :)
