i am going away soon and to save space am trying to double up on chargers for different equipment.

my 4th gen game with a firewire plug and worked fine.

now that everything is USB i wanted to get a USB plug to be used for multiple devices.

i have bought two USB plug adapters from maplins and neither have charged mu ipod. i then bought on ebay the offical apple ipod USB plug but still it will not charge. i have tried several USB to ipod leads and none work.

any suggestions. the ipod does charge using the car charger anfd my computer, just not through the mains.
