You do it from the main iPod screen in iTunes. Just check the manual update box.

You can not manually mange videos while automatically syncing songs. It's all or nothing. FYI.

I have the same problem!

After asking on these forums i now add my videos normally through auto sync and once they are on my iPod i delete them from my PC.

They show up in iTunes as a missing file when you try to play them.

Your iPod wont delete as it still thinks you want it as there is still a link to it in iTunes.

All my music is still updated using auto sync.

Hope this helps

Why not add more storage to the PC?

Hard drives are so cheap these days - over here as little as 0.10 (approx $0.20) per GB

Its not a choice for me, unfortunately. I am using my company's pc and have to use whatever is available for me.

You simply select the video file on the iPod when browsing it in iTunes, and hit delete.

You simply select the video file on the iPod when browsing it in iTunes, and hit delete.

Or finally remove the broken reference in iTunes and no next sync it's gone.

So drop $100 on a portable external 80gb (or larger) usb/firewire drive. That way when you change jobs, you can take you're music with you.
