Itunes syncing and deletion
hey people. i have an ipod 30gb and am currently filling it. but after it is filled..i will be deleting the files from my computer to save space. my question is this.
im getting an iphone at somepoint this month and i want to sync videos and music to that also,but i will also want to charge my 30gb ipod video, will itunes sync the 30gb and delete all the videos off it? i recall something similar happning to me before.
any tips would be appreciated, thanks

Don't do this. Don't delete the MP3 files off your computer, because then you'll have no backup if your iPod dies or otherwise becomes corrupted.
Hard drives are cheap. Go and buy an inexpensive external drive (or buy a bare drive and put it in a USB or Firewire case), and keep your library on that, if your computer's hard drive is too small.
iTunes will not automatically sync to a new iPod or iPhone if you tell it not to. If you manually copy songs and/or playlists (or videos) over, that should retain the existing files on the players.
