What case do you have on your video?

I`m looking at cases and still largely undecided. I used to love my xtrememac microshield, but its too bulky. Suggestions anyone?

I have a Marware SportGrip. I'm pretty happy with it. Came with a screen and clickwheel protector which have been holding on fine. Although if you think the Microshield is too bulky, I'm not sure you'd be very happy with a silicone case either, because they're not much thinner. Perhaps you'd be happier with an Invisible Shield or a Best Skins Ever skin? I've been contemplating going that direction myself because I prefer using my iPods "naked". I don't think any case looks as good as the iPod itself.

I would get the shield protectors and then buy a cheap skin. This way, it will be small and scratch resistant as long as the shields don't have dirt in between them and the ipod.

When I'm at the gym, I use a DLO Action Jacket. When I use it at home, I don't have a case, I'm careful not to put it into my pocket with coins, my Swiss Army knife of other things that might scratch it. Despite tht, it does have some fine scratches on the back, but that doesn't bother me. A scratch on the screen would be annoying, however, so I have a ScreenGuardz screen protector on it. I have a Griffin California Roll case to carry it in my bag along with my earbuds.

I have a Black Biscuit from SwitchEasy on my (black) nano. If you want something sporty, like for jogging, this isn't the case for you (though you could perhaps pair the Biscuit with certain armbands, as I've thought of trying just for giggles).

The Biscuit is a really nice hard shell that completely encloses the whole nano (yes, screen too, though the screen part is transparent so you can still see through it). It comes with all sorts of extras that you can learn more about from their web site, including a clear static sheet for truly obsessive, blemish-free care of the nano's shiny backside before you even put it inside the shell. Basically, you get quite a lot for such a reasonable fee of only (US)$20 and it performs exactly as advertised. The only thing not-so-hot is the click wheel protector sheet, which gives it a cellophane tape look. I just left that piece off though since I've never actually had a problem with the wheel getting dirty or scratched in any way. Truthfully, in a matter of days, I forgot that the Biscuit was there and that my actual iPod was inside of it, resting securely yet comfortably (with a shiny backside that looks as new as the day it was purchased... even if no one can actually see it).

Oh, almost forgot. The small recessed groves that slope down towards the click wheel on the left and right sides are simply brilliant. Being able to accurately manipulate the nano from within my pocket, regardless of how it may have shifted while walking around, is a stroke of simple genius. A shame that feature can't be illustrated well over a web site, but it is a genuine life-saver!

My friend just purchased an iSkin duo case today and has allowed me to have first crack at it the moment it arrives (since she'll be on holiday), so that I can weigh it against the Biscuit. If you're still curious for more information, I'll let you know all about it when it arrives (roughly 3-5 days, if memory serves).

I went with the Marware Sportsuit Convertible. I was waiting for iskin to produce something, but they took so long. They recently announced their duo. After looking at it I,m glad I got the sportsuit. It's a better value.

I've picked the DLO Leather Hip-Case - very stylish and ridiculously small (but neat). I've had plastic hard cases in the past (for the 4G photo and 5G video) but as I'd bought the nano to carry around more I thought a leather one would be better.

The downside is you have to remove the nano to charge it (unlike the other cases if I use a mains or USB charger) but the leather case is solid and I like the ability to fit it on my belt easily. But the real advantage for me is it looks so much better than a hard case.

The click wheel works well through the clear plastic front, and I'm happy so far.

i ordered the xtrememac tuffwrap plus. its supposed to ship tomorrow. it looks good, hopefully it'll perform as well as it looks. i've dropped my iPod about 7 times since i got it, and it already has a chip on the paint in the top left corner and a small ding on the front.

I've got an invisibleSHIELD on order. I couldn't decide on a case I liked. The Nano is so slick and I couldn't help but think a case would ruin it.

I don't have a case yet, it only shows some light signs of use (small dent in the steel back)

I decided on this as it gives me plenty of room if I want to go with more padding etc when nicer cases come available. This one is crystal clear, no screen interference, easy to access all controls and places to plug stuff... hopefully I link this right, I found it on ebay a few weeks ago, and it was super cheap. It came with a screen protector too.

I'm deciding between a Marware Sportsgrip and Belkin Silicone sleeve. Although my current biscuit is OK, its getting too annoying to have to constantly carry around the 3.5mm extension cable all the time.

i have a Black Biscuit from SwitchEasy case as well.. the onlie downside of this is that it hinders the screen brightness a lil bit. but other thatn that, its perfect. =)

Thanks everyone I`m extremely grateful. I`m more concerned about falls than scratches. Every single ipod I`ve had HAS become scratched, case or not. But I usually wear my ipod in my front pant pocket and want a rigid case to keep it from twisting and breaking the LCD.

# 15 Re: What case do you have on your video?
with the case I have, I dropped it on a marble floor in mexico a couple weeks ago and added insult to injury by going to pick it up and kicking it into the wall... >_<

the case didn't pop open and no damage.

I got home and dropped it on the driveway, it's still good but there's a scratch on the case where it covers the screen so I have some annoyance there but it was cheap, I think I might just order a couple until my tendonitis gets better and I stop dropping ####.

I bought the black biscuit for my Red Nano and was so pleased with it that I bought a red bisuit as well. Changing moods, changing biscuits, I suppose. Aside from the so-called "cool factor" (which is considerable) what impressed me was it's made from an extremely hard plastic and good engineering meant for very close tolerances so every thing fits perfectly. I've dropped it out of my shirt pocket a couple of times, no damage.
