iPod Classic Dead

I just bought an iPod classic 80GB from Circuit City on Tuesday and now 6 days later it no longer turns on. It was the worst thing ever. My friend and I were sitting by the computer when i moved my arm a little and noticed that the contact case full of solution was already tipped over my ipod and was just under half empty. I grabbed the solution case and as I did it turned the ipod on and then it showed to plug the ipod into itunes to restart. Before I could it turned off and hasn't come on since. I knew not to turn an ipod on if there was water damage but lifting the contacts off it turned it on. I read that Apple will know there was been water damage so is there a chance I can return it to Circuit City and just get a new one since its only been 6 days since purchase and its a new item?

Due to it being accidental damage it wont be covered by a standard warranty.. you will have to repair it yourself or buy a new one... unless ofcourse you have taken out extra cover for accidental damage ? in this case it'd be covered...

oh goodness... i hope you purchased additional protection from circuit city. if that's not the case, it sounds like you're out $250... sorry to hear that man.

Course he could always lie and say it never turned on when he got it...or that one day it just stopped working.
