I've been using a Minidisc portable (Sharp MD-MT877) with an external microphone (Sony ECM-MS907) as a simple setup to record rehearsals with my local choir. The results don't need to be perfect but should be good enough for keeping and sharing. As my Minidisc recorder had some dropouts lately, I'm considering getting a microphone adapter for my iPod nano 2G to use it with the AA-powered Sony microphone I already have.

Is there anyone who could share experiences concerning sound quality with any of the adapters available for the iPod nano? Furthermore, how long does a fully charged battery last while recording?
