Does Itunes offer unlimited downloads

Hello all, I've tried searching but i can't find anything relative. I've been using a zune for the past year or so and love the device, however the market for adapters and what not simply isn't behind the zune. I'm installing an ipod compatiable radio in my jeep, and i figured i would get an ipod for the easy integration. b/c the zune's don't have any type of audio control through the Head unit.

I purchased a ipod mini, but after reading up on the itune website, it seems the only option for downloading files is to purchase each track for .99each. That is total BS, I listen to alot of music and prefer to dowload whole albums instead of just bits and pieces of albums, which completely defeats the purpose of downloading via the per song method BS. With Zune you could get zune pass and download unlimited files for a set montly fee. CAN you do this with itunes, if not then is the ipod compatiable with any other music download sites that may offer unlimited dowloads. Please somebody help me out a bit. Thanks in advance

The iPod is compatible with any other DRM-Free Music Store..it won't work with Rhapsody or Napster which both have their own DRM.

No there is no subscription based service for iTunes..I don't understand why people would take this route anyway..you are paying to "rent" songs you never actually own them, where as if you purchase a iTunes Store song its yours forever..no fee BS to keep the song.

Oh well to each his own I guess.
