Best encoder option using ONLY iTunes?

Besides Apple Lossless, what is the best encoder using iTunes software only?
I'm willing to go to third party software if it's a simple 1-step process. But for now, what's the best option in iTunes?

- AAC 320 kbps
- AAC 240 kbps VBR

- MP3 320 kbps
- MP3 320 kbps VBR
