Copying Everything!!

i have a portable harddrive and i have itunes installed on my laptop as well as my desktop pc ... i have a lot of playlists etc. that i want to transfer over to my laptop... is this possible without me having to do it manually?

the iTunes *.itl file usually in My Documents/My Music/iTunes will have all your playlists. Copy it and the *.xml file over and you should have everything.

Not sure that's a good solution...the desktop machine's library file will supplant the laptop's current file, so none of the laptop's playlists etc. will appear anymore. (Plus, none of the desktop's music will be on the laptop, except for whatever dupes the two machines have.)
