Editing Song info

hey, I'm a n00b to iTunes and just recently had it installed. I uploaded all of my songs into the library and as it turns out, most of the song info was messed up. Like the help document said, I went to "Get Info" and then went to the "Info" tab and found the song info. The problem is that on some songs the song info is greyed out and the program won't let me change it. This is especially annoying since the "greyed out" songs' song info is inaccurate. How do i "ungrey" it so that I can change it?

any song that has info grayed out is probably a read-only file. if using windows, right-click the file and uncheck the read-only box.

The actual file(s) on you computer are "read-only" for some reason. You'll have to change them so that they can be modified. In windows, right-click the file & select properties - there's a check box for "read-only" - uncheck this box.
