I have iTunes on my PC, and a 30 GB Video iPod. Recently (Like after the 2nd to last firmware update we had), I have noticed that while iTunes takes the same length of time to open in the beginning, syncing is slow to start.

Once syncing begins, it works fine. But, say I am viewing the internet in a separate window. If I try to click over to view the iTunes window, the program acts "locked up", like it is not responding. Eventually (After 30+ seconds), it will let me click over to it, and the sync seems to begin when I am actually viewing the window.

What could be causing a "slow to sync" problem? It had been doing perfectly, but recently, it is a noticeable difference, especially with the program trying to not respond on me. Is there something that can be done to make the program run faster? I do not have problems with any other programs, just this one. My iPod has about 10 GB or less left on it, I believe.
