I moved my iTunes Music Folder to my home network server and setup iTunes (Windows) to point there (copy + organized enabled), but now routine tasks like adding songs to the library are really really slow. I know this is because it has to go over the network, but is there a way to make iTunes optimized for a networked Music Folder?

P.S. - the server is Ubuntu 7.04 and it's a SMB/CIFS share. I'm just trying to have all my storage/data and entertainment media in one central box
