Restoring touch - ipod could not be restored

I unsuccessfully jailbroke my touch earlier and am trying to restore it. But, when I do the restore in iTunes I get the following error:
the ipod could not be restored. an unkown error occured (-18)
Anyone have any idea what I can do?

I think I finally found an answer, I did an advanced search on google and made sure it had the error code as it was skipping the (-18) in the search. Once I got this I found a few pages with advice.

If anyone needs it, here is the page http://www.extrapepperoni.com/2007/1...things-to-say/

Well, if that doesn't work, here are the steps
1. Launch iTunes.
2. Turn iPhone off (hold down top power button & swipe when prompted).
3. Hold down Home button.
4. Plug iPhone into USB/Dock cable.
5. iPhone shows a picture of a Dock cable being plugged into the iTunes CD icon.
6. Release Home button.

Another reason why I wouldnt dare install Jailbreak, no matter how many successful and positive reviews it has by people who installed it.

You can always restore it to the original condition. No iPod Touch has actually been BRICKED yet.

I had Jailbroken my touch yesterday. I didn't like the Interface response time, plus had no apps showing in the Installer program. Summerboard would freeze the touch requiring me to turn off/on everytime I opened the program. I didn't like the feel or experience. I will wait until after Feb when the SDK is released.

That's weird - I haven't noticed any difference. I just used iJailbreak on my Mac but it actually worked surprisingly well. I also tested a restore before I did it and it worked fine.
