How to check serial number for Week #??

I searched the forum for iPod touch about this and I cannot find the article that says
"this kind of serial after this number" is week # this this this.
Could someone help me out? :) Thank you!

Serial number: XBXXXXXTWXN

well the 3rd digit represents the year ie 7 for 2007
the 4th & 5th represent the week ie 39 for week 39

all the rest indicate the factory, or whether it's a refurb, etc.

i have a vague recollection that refurbs have a Q as the first or second character.

the one I got today is 74. Haven't seen anyone mention it?

most likely you've got a 2007 week 40 ie XX740XXXXXX
