Engraving Denied by Apple
So my friend wanted to get his iPod Touch engraved but when he received it today, there was no engraving and there was a letter in the package saying Apple rejected it. The engraving was suppose to be "touch me all you want for pleasure" funny but stupid at the same time.

that's unfortunate, but kinda funny at the same time, maybe they thought it was vulgar or something
# 2 Re: Engraving Denied by Apple
Yeah, it probably wasn't allowed because it was construed as vulgar.

Great , now The "Politically Correct Squad" is screening the engravings for the iPod
30gb, shuffle, 16gb Touch, Airport wi-fi router

kind of funny, I guess if you ever sold your ipod that apple would not want stuff like that floating aroud.

I would think that conservatives would more likely be the one's screening iPod Engravings.
I can see it now on Glenn Beck: "Vulgar iPod engravings are destroying america. Here's how I got there"
Anyways, that's not right of Apple. They should of contacted your friend immediately to see if he wanted to engrave it with something else.

Why would you want that on your Touch anyway? It's pretty bad.

No kidding - maybe someone at Apple just thought better of the lame engraving.

That engraving does seem kinda lame though, maybe someone just thought it was going to be too dumb to have on the back of the iPod for forever. The funny thing is that I have the phrase "##### We Got A Problem" engraved on the back of my 160GB iPod classic so they allowed that. You never know.
Oh and yeah, it would be the conservatives who have a fit with issues like this. Liberals are in fact liberal (loose) with everything except gun control. Conservatives are well, conservatives, they are stricter and tighter with the rules.

Yes, but would they censor "Microsoft Rules!" ?

##### We Got A Problem was the worst song off the new album. You should have just gotten "Are you Ready?"
Thread jack, but IMHO the best song on the new album was Do What They Say. Starting Over was really good too.

Yeah, not to get too far off from the thread topic but ##### We Got A Problem was far from the worst song on the album. Love And Luxury takes the cake there along with Sing Sorrow and Overture Or Obituary. I think ##### We Got A Problem is actually very catchy. I don't think it is as good as Kiss, Hushabye, Every Be (my favorite off the album), and Hold On are better songs but ##### We Got A Problem is still damned good.
Putting Are You Ready? on the iPod would have been too cliche and I am getting tired of hearing Blind live. I have been a Korn fan since fall of 1994 and I have seen them live 13 times in which every time they played Blind live. Besides, I can't have Fieldy, Munky, and JD sign my iPod (which I will later get engraved to match the signatures) without seeing the new tour name on the back of it.

I think its kind of humorous to get the engraving saying something of that sort. I wouldn't have it say those exact words (it could be worded in a more concise way), but something along those lines.
# 14 Re: Engraving Denied by Apple
Well apple has to tell you whats best for you since apparently we aren't allowed to determine that ourselves.

Sounds like a "freedom of speech issue" I wonder if Al Sharpton will speak out against it? :shake:
