Smart Playlist Problem
OK This is very strange.
In iTunes I have a smart play list Top 100 Songs, which is the 100 songs I have listened to the most by play count, surprise I know.
When it copies to my iPod Touch the list of songs is completely different, and there are only 98 of them. And these are songs I hate, my 1 Star Tracks.
The thing is when I click on the iPod Touch in iTunes and view the play list the songs are what they are supposed to be.
I don't understand how the hell this is happening, and it's the only playlist that is screwed up every other one is perfectly fine.
Has anyone else had a problem like this?

The Plot thickens, I just created a new playlist with the following conditions
Rating is Greater than 2 Stars, 100 Songs sorted by most often played.
Another completely different random list of songs than what should be in the list.
What the Freak?!

Yep. Hold tight. This is a known issue that's been with us since iPhone was launched. God only knows what's taking Apple so long to fix it. Smart Playlists are essential on devices with such miniscule storage. It's highly insulting of Apple to release these devices with Smart Playlists broken on them.

oh yeah that's just great... you know what'll happen? they'll wait until we finally get the thing jailbroken and then they'll release the fix so we have to choose between a more functional touch or one that can actually handle smart playlists properly, lol. well hopefully if we get to that point the hackers can pull the fix out of the update and make it work even on freed touches. =)

I think it's obvious that Apple's plan is exactly as you suggest. They released both Touch and iPhone with major features missing or broken. Then, each time they roll out little fixes and feature enhancements they also break all attempts to hack the devices. It appears to be a targeted and calculated strategy. As I said above, it strikes me as very insulting.

Well whatever the "strategy" the end result is a device that is less functional in the music department than the one it replaces, which in my case was a 3rd Gen.
The space thing was less of an issue for me because I don't have a very large music collection, all my audio maxes out at about 9GB, with about 2GB in Music Vids.
This is seriously unacceptable, why isn't there more noise about this on the tubes. I'd been reading everything iPhone and iPod Touch related and never heard about this problem until I experienced it.
Seems to me if there isn't more pressure it won't be resolved anytime soon.
