iPod touch compatible with previous cables?
Are the iPod touches compatible with previous gen. iPod's? I tried it and it fits, but I'm afraid to connect it. I'd hate to brick a $300 product. I usually charge it in my car as well and I currently have the xtrememac charger for my previous iPod 5G.

I charge and synch everything using the Apple USB cable that came with my first generation Mini. No problem with Touch. Charges just fine with the wall adapter, too.

I have the old firewire wall adapter and it charges just fine. Its a little snug in there but it beats going out and buying a new walk charger.

I have a 3rd-party USB wall charger, it charged my iPod Nano just fine, it charges my PSP just fine, but the iTouch does not recognize that there is power attached. Sucks.
