uk i touch my review

ive just had my fist full day with my new ipod touch which i bought from the apple store in glasgow i can report that i have no hissing audio or any screen issues the only real trouble i had is with the setting up of my wifi with my router i had to use apple care it took a while i noticed apple use tech services based abroad in india so trying to explain the problem and understand their language was draining plus the staff weren't too too up to-date with technical information with the new ipod touch in the end iam afraid to say they were no help and i just kept trying myself and i got it sorted so if you are planning on calling apple care dont be to surprised if they dont have a clue about the new ipod

any way 100-percent happy with my new ipod touch having no problems and heres hoping for the rest of u buyers out there that they are good ones in the united kingdom

Well ... glad yours is OK .... not so lucky here.

I was pretty uncertain as to whether or not i had the screen issue until just now ... I find it generally ok ... but i just happened to watch episode 1 of firefly on the iPT and the screen was driving my eyes crazy with the blacks just totally looking negative horrid.

THe sound is fine though ... i just emailed the apple prem. retailer about the problem ... since they'll not be getting anymore in until later this week i'm happy to use it until then ... the law in the UK about defective products is pretty good ... shouldn't be an issue ... but the email was just to tell them that i want a new one when they get some... informing them early can save you in the long run sometimes

Good luck everyone else ... i would like to see a side-by-side comparison of a "good" screen

I have at least 5 dead pixels on my screen although I can only notice them when watching videos which I have not done much of!

I will definately get it exchanged or fixed under warranty but I want to make sure I get a perfect unit before I go through the hassle of returning it!

My 14 days run out on Oct 2nd so with any luck by then we will know what models with what serial numbers are ok and which ones are not and I can make sure I get a perfect replacement.

Of course getting the screen replaced under waranty would be even better but I love my touch so much I don't want to not have it for any period of time at all!

I can safely say with all the features it has that it is the best iPod ever!

Hey, what week was yours made in?

I just returned my week 37 unit to the Glasgow store today after I had the negative screen problem. I was pretty lucky, the guy at the Genius Bar (Liam, nice guy) said his Touch had the same problem so he spotted it right away, but they didn't have any in just now so he would just give me a refund and I could get one later on this week.

well mine is week 37 also but i can say mine is perfect i dont think it has anything to do with what week it was made there could have been thousands of good ones made on the production line that week but something clearly went wrong so i wouldn't worry about what week your itouch was made
