I took a video of my friends 8GB iPod touch, the MFR# is MA623LL/A bought directly from Apple store a couple days ago, one of the last in stock. Possibly another perfect iPod touch Freud? Video was shot with a Canon SD600 camera phone so quality is not that great. Shot was taken without any tungsten or florescent or day lights in a dark room. Directly in front of the iPod at no angle. Let me know what you guys think or if you want me to take any other video tests. The darker scenes are black but no so much that it goes negative. Brightness was set to default, middle and Auto on.

replying from my itouch is slow. It doesnt look as good as iphone to me but a lot better than the two touches i have had!Gunner at 2007-11-15 12:49:55 >

That looks pretty good. My Touch looks better in person but that Touch probably also looks better in person.It is now clear that lots of people have good Touches. The Wall Street Journal reporter got two of them that produce beautiful images.
There are clearly some bad ones...but the internet is not going to ellicit comments from most satisfied users. It is the bad ones that get the posts...thus one can get a skewed view of the issue.

Yeah, I mean there are some dark scenes where its black but not as far as negative black. I mean it does look darker compared to my iMac and MacBook both with full brightness on, but it doesn't show any negative blacks so far.
