iPod touch ships BY september 28
I know this may sound stupid but what ever. I am having a hard time waiting 3 weeks for the new iPod touch that i ordered to be shipped. When I ordered it on wednesday the website said that it would ship BY september 28 and arrive BY october 2. Maybe i am reading in to this a little to much but couldnt this mean it could arrive earlier.
Also, during steve's keynote he said it would ship towards the end of the month. So I am thinking that they maybe set this date as a worst case senario, what do you think. I was kind of upset when they said it wouldnt be available until the end of the month but, it will definately be worth the wait. I am just trying to find anything that would hint at it coming sooner.:D

Yeah, i ordered my 16GB ipod touch right when the apple store came up with the new ipods. I was hoping that jobs would say the ipod touch would be available the same day as the other ipods. What do you guys think the reason is that it is not available untill 20 somthing more days after the other ipods were released. Websites like engaget have pictures of a working ipod touch, it seems that apple allowed the press to come and take pictures and check out the new ipod touch so why would it not be available to us.

i don't care i'll get up at 7 am in the morning on friday september 28 ..will not go to my job :p but will go to the 14th street ,Union Square and get my ipod touch for $325.11 that's it. And with a big smile on my face return home.

Right, the "by" word means you'll be getting one that date or before. I personally think it will be before, if they have working models why do you think apple is holding off? I'll say the 25th. Hopefully

maybe the containers on the way here from china and they scheduled to be in the US on september 25th i'm sure they'll spread around the county in 4 days.

Not to ruin things for everyone because I hope they ship before the 28th, but my 1st gen MacBook Pro was also supposed to "ship by ___" but was delayed twice before it actually shipped out

We will see it by the end of the month. Apple rep's said that is the worst case senario, so incase theres a delay people wont get made. He said they should start shipping around the 20th.

Yes, 8 days earlier would be great. I just can't wait to take it out of the box!!!!!!!!!! I have been counting down the days like a mad man. It seems to go slower when I count down the days but what ever. I am constantly looking at a calender just to make sure I have the days right, maybe just maybe I counted wrong it it was a day sooner than I thought.:shake:
I ordered that 2 days shipping thing so hopefully it will be a little quicker.:D
PS 19 days (if it were to ship on the 28th)
