ipod stuck on hold

my ipod is stuck on hold it will not come off. this morning at 5am i had to get up for school and i got up and i stepped on it face down by mistake. what should i do? I restored it and everything. i dont know what to do!. warrenty is gone because i had it for 2 years. please help me. should i pop it open and fiddle with it?

The problem here is that when you stepped on it, the hold button underneath your iPod must have gotten misplaced. Take out your iPod apart and look inside where the hold button is. Fix it where it should be and you will fix it. Just make sure your iPod is off.eDiN at 2007-11-15 14:18:38 >

ok i pulled it all apart. i was gonna solder it but the tips were to big so i found some scrap foil, folded it up stuck it on some electrical tape and taped it on the swith and i put the screws in,put cover on and its is great! sept for one thing. only the left speaker on my headphones work and its not my headphones i ran them through my cdplayer. is it somthing iam going to have to live with or is it fixable? i cant figure it out at all.cspaintballride at 2007-11-15 14:19:43 >
