My 1st gen nano has passed away on the beach in holidays, probably too much heat!

It does not respond at all, pressing menu and center button does not do anything...its cold, I think its dead!

Funerals will take place next Saturday, I thought I would throw it to the Seine but then I feel quite strong about the environment and decided to send it back to Apple for dismantling and recycling, is there any procedure for that? Or do you know any organisation who would do that? I know for a fact it happens a lot for mobile phones. Am based in Paris but can obviously send this wherever...thanks again!
