new nano Click Wheel not flush/even
Greetings!
I just got the new 8 gig 3rd gen nano! It's very nice. I'm lucky enough to have one with a screen that is not titled but... the click wheel is not flush with the face of the player. Is this typical? I'm forgetting how it felt in the store- and whether mine is atypical.
To be exact, the click wheel jets out just a tiny bit at the bottom (the play/pause area) where the body of the nano begins to curve. Should I exchange?

My wheel is flush but i have the slightly tilted screen - maybe we should buy two and cobble them together to make one perfect one :D Actually i don't even notice the screen unless i look for it, it's hardly noticeable.
My wheel on my iPod video has never been flush though.

Oh hang on i've just had another look, it does stick out very very VERY slightly where the player curves but it is extremely barely noticeable.

yea... mine jets out just a bit too... but i'm concerned it might lead to something more serious down the line... i keep trying to push it in everytime i hit play/plause... just a bit harder than i should be pushing the little guy I guess... ha...

my clickwheel is raised, although universally so, I assumed it was intended to be that way, raised clickwheel with a concave centre button?

The only place my wheel is very slightly raised is where the body of the player slopes down and the only way it wouldn't be raised is if the wheel curved down too so i think it's normal. As for the screen tilt it's barely noticeable, in fact i didn't even notice until i read about it here.

The clickwheel on my silver nano is flush, however the screen is 'slightly' wonky but not noticeable, i'm not complaining though, especially seing that i'm the only one who I know who has the new ipod (UK)
EDIT: actually it isn't completely flush and guess where! At the play/pause button barely anything though.

Mine sticks out as well. Its even all round apart from the bottom which sticks out a bit more.
I was going to live with it until a guy at work came in with a 4GB one and his is totally flush.

Take it back! Especially since apple rushed getting them out.

I think it may have been made this way on purpose, since the click wheel is smaller now. It makes it easier to use.

But its not like that on at least two other units i have held.
As i cant find the receipt im going to live with it anyway. As i have no other problems i dont want to risk getting a bad one. Only problem i have had is that yesterday i left the Nano in pause and the click wheel kept clicking on it own and the time bar kept jumping back and forth (but still in pause). Only happened once.

Yes, thats how mine is. and i think a lot of them (if not all) are a bit higher near the bottom as the case slopes a bit at the edge.
If i was to take mine back i would give some other reason to be honest. I think otherwise they might think you are a bit picky.
