Ipod For School.

I have no problem bringing it to school. I need it for work after school and at random times in the day can use it without having it confiscated. So far it (Nano 2nd Gen) has lasted nearly a year safely. Though I do live in a richer area where almost everyone has an iPod and/or another mp3 player so no one really needs to steal one.

However, though I might leave my backpack alone for a minute or two occasionally, I would never ever leave my iPod alone in the backpack as that could be dangerous, at least in some classes.

IMO, taking your iPod to school is an iffy topic. it really depends on where it will be and where you go to school. If you keep your iPod in with you all day in your pocket, you run a low risk of getting it lost or stolen. However, depending on what your school is like, even if you keep it with you at all times, you could be robbed. If you cannot keep it with you at all times, you run a much higher risk of getting it stolen, especially if you leave it in an unsecure area, such as your backback in the locker room during gym; someone could rummage through your bag, find your iPod and you would never see it again. Also, some schools have very strict rules against iPods; if you are caught with one in school, you could get it confiscated, get a detention, or even get suspended. I take my iPod to school everyday, and I keep it with me at all times. I don't have any problems. So consider all of this before you take your iPod with you.

I take mine to school everyday. If I'm not using it I'll put it in my pocket, never in my backpack/locker or anywhere else. It just really bothers me when people as me everyday if they can use my ipod. Literally, everyday.

at my school there is a rule that states that we cannot have any electronic devices plus theres not really time for me to listen to it

i used to leave my zune in my locker, but when i get my itouch, im gonna leave it in my pocket, so i can be a showoff, or show people how it works, also so there is no chance of it getting stolen.

I used to, until yesterday. I got yelled at. I will take it when I have fully recovered from a recent injury.

Almost every person in my school has an ipod. I take it on the bus and thats it. I don't take it out of my backpack when I'm inside my school because I have almost lost my ipod about 3 times.

I listen to my iPod for at least 20 minutes a day in school and need it for work right after school as well so it is a must to bring it to school. Besides almost all students in my school have some sort of mp3 player in school anyway so the risk of theft is slim.

why would you take your 150+ ipod to school and leave it in your...BACKPACK?
thats such a stupid idea. if its new, and most are after sep. 5th, people want new things to and will try to steal it.
