Please help, nano problems.

I brought my iPod on a trip today, and turned it off and stowed it away in my backpack. Then I put the backpack on a shelf, and the iPod probably got turned back on. When I got home, I put it into my clock thing, to charge, but nothing came up on the screen, although I heard the beeping when the iPod goes in. Then I hook it up to my computer, still nothing. I read most of the guides for iPods online, and troubleshoots, but none of them helped me. How am I suppose to charge an iPod who's screen is blank? Please help. Thanks for reading.

If the battery is completely dried, you'll have to let it charge 5-10 mins before anything happens. Did you wait that long?

It's been sitting in the clock thing for hours. Blank screen, won't turn on.

Are u sure the "clock thing" charges? and do you have to flip a switch to make it charge? and is its dock compatible with the Nano (should be)?

Absolutely silly question, can't believe am asking this from a highlygifted :). What happends when u plug in into the computer, computer turned on of course.

Nothing, the screen is just blank, and this clock thing is plugged in, I've been using it forever, I just get the usual *it's in* beeps, but the screen is still completely blank, plus the buttons don't work. (Yes I checked for the hold button).

Either
a) The battery is bad
b) the screen is broken, have you tried using the iPod? Can you hear anything when you try to play it?

It shouldn't be the screens problem. I set it so the wheel makes a sound when used, and I tried clicking the buttons and spinning the wheel, but no sound. So I guess it's the battery's problem. But how do I fix it?
